Nourishing the human spirit to strength

“Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.” Ephesians 3:20-21

The Lord has called and destined us to be a nourishing Church. In order to nourish others, we must be receiving continuous nourishment from the Holy Spirit, to strengthen our human spirit. Without the ministry of the Holy Spirit in us and through us, there is always something lacking in our lives as disciples of Jesus.

“In ministry, discipleship includes the spirit life. In making disciples teach the Word. Teach believing. Pray in the Spirit. Encourage others to do the same. Since the human spirit must be nourished to mature spiritually those you disciple are blessed to be taught spirit life.

As you make disciples you build strength of lifestyle-Christianity into the lives God sends into your path. Likewise, those He sends impart strength back into your life, their gifting and prayers a storehouse of encouragement necessary to keep momentum going.

Combined gifting and prayers, placed in the Lord’s hand, assures strength of every kind, especially the KIND needed most. What you give as you pour into other’s lives not only benefits that person but is also seed for your increase to meet every need. John 3:16 is the Bible example linking every believer to eternal life because of what the Father gave. He gave His only Son. We received the increase!

You need the Spirit of God to overshadow and energize your human spirit. Your spirit life – your life in the Spirit – is critical in these end times to discern spiritually. You are the Lord’s sent one to those you disciple. Today you give and it is given back to you – pressed down, shaken together and running over, men give (back) to you.”
