Words by our Priest-in-Charge:

Indwelling Spirit of Prayer

When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. Then there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance. (Acts 2:1-4)

In this Pentecost season we cherish God’s gift of His Spirit and the Spirit Presence that comes when we pray. Because His Spirit is alive — literally living inside us — we see with a spiritual eye, hear the Lord speak, and grasp basics of prayer to skillfully move out in prayer, overthrowing darkness and securing the Lord’s plan.
The indwelling Holy Spirit is the indwelling Spirit of Prayer, leading and guiding prayers and intercessions and is the power of answered prayer.

Passionate, spirit-led prayer attracts divine favor; as we pray for others we receive deliverance in areas of personal need and breakthrough for concerns like home and family.

The Spirit teaches God’s Word, a discipline for seasons of calm to stay steady in times of shaking. The Lord is present. Stay close to Him in your heart and intellect. Do not be afraid and do not dread.

Amen.
