Uniquely His

“For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.” Psalm 139: 13-14

We had quite a bit of snow in the UK last week. Pierrepont was covered in glorious white. Some of us went outside and build an igloo in the field. I stood at the window of my room, observing the snowflakes gently making their landing to the ground. Sometimes I could almost see the shape of the snowflakes fell that day in the UK alone. Yet, none of these snowflakes were exactly the same with one another. How wonderfully creative God is!

I ponder and realize that we have a God who pays great attention to details. We have a creator who would create snowflakes which are unique in each, which are here during winter and melt away as spring approaches. I held up a handful of snot and made it into a snowball which rendered each snowflake unrecognizable. Yet, each one of them is still unique.

God has created each and every human being unique in His image. Jesus tells us that “But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Do not fear therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows.” (Luke 12:7) There is certainly none like you in the exact replica in this world. Because you are unique, therefore you are special. Because you are created in His image, you are of great value. Because you are fearfully and wonderfully made, you are loved. Because God has woven you in your mother’s womb, He has His purpose for your life. You are His handiwork and you are wonderful!

God knows each and every one of us. He knows the  details of your lives and He cared intimately for us. Others may do things to harm us or we may make wrong choices and get into trouble, but His love for us could not be deterred. He is interested in our well-being and He is able to meet our every need because we are uniquely His!

他的专属

“我的肺腑是你所造的。我在母腹中，你已覆庇我。我要称谢你，因我受造，奇妙可畏。你的作为奇妙，这是我心深知道的。” 诗篇139：13-14

上个星期英国这边下雪了。皮尔朋被洁白光亮的积雪遮盖着。我们当中有些人在外面的草地上盖了一间雪屋。我站在房间的窗口，观察着雪花徐徐地落在地上。有时候因为雪花飘落在离窗口的不远处，我差点能够清楚看见雪花的形状。当天在英国所下的雪花大概高达数万亿。然而，这数万亿的雪花没有一个是相像的。神是多么的奇妙富有创意！

我在思考并且发现我们拥有一位非常注重细节的神。我们的创造者创造出片片独特的雪花，而这些唯有出现在冬天的雪花，也随着春天的到来而融化。我抓起一把雪把它制造成一个雪球，让这些雪花变得面目全非。然而，它们每一片仍然是独特的。

神按照自己的形象创造了每一个独特的人类。耶稣告诉我们“就是你们的头发也都被数过了。不要惧怕，你们比许多麻雀还贵重。”（路加福音12：7）这世界上肯定没有第二个你了。因为你是独一无二的，所以你是特别的。因你乃是按照他的形象被照，所以你具有极大的价值。因为你受照奇妙可畏，你是被爱的。因为神在你母腹中造你，他对你的生命有他的命定。你乃是他的手所做的而你也是奇妙的！

神认识我们每个人。他知道我们生命的每一个细节，他也密切地关心我们。其他人可能会做一些事情伤害我们或因着自己作出错误的选择而惹上麻烦，可是却无法拦阻他对我们的爱。他很关心我们日常生活的福利也能够满足我们的每一个需要，因为我们乃是他的专属!
